Welcome Steve Richert

We’re very excited to have Steve Richert joining our team.

Steve is a top-notch developer. You may know him on the internets as laserlemon or from his work helping maintain the Twitter gem or his vestal_versions gem. Steve is a Michigan State grad in mechanical engineering who never took a single computer class, but has been programming since he was single digits with his Commodore 64.

After putting in his time with PHP, Steve discovered Ruby, Rails, Git and Agile development. Open source greatness followed. We’re flattered that Steve has long admired our work, and is now crossing “working for Collective Idea” off his bucket list.

Steve will be in the office beginning the first week in January, so stop by and say hi.

Daniel founded Collective Idea in 2005 to put a name to his growing and already full-time freelance work. He works hard writing code, teaching, and mentoring.
